Summary
Macbeth is a story of a brave general who is promised to become a thane by a group of witches. They also prophecy that Banquo, Macbeth's friend will also have a share of power but will never become the king. Lady Macbeth is intrigued by the possibility of her husband becoming King and pushes him to create a plot in what they kill King Duncan. Macbeth then becomes afraid of the fact that Banquo's heirs could seize the throne and sends off to kill Banquo and his son. A new threat, Macduff comes into the picture and Macbeth sends to kill his family. In the end Lady Macbeth becomes insane and commits suicide. Macbeth is then killed by the revenge filled Macduff. So in essence, almost everyone dies!
